Just in case you thought we were joking...

It turns out that Amy really is pregnant! We finally have the means to share some pictures with you of Pickle and Tomato. Below you’ll find three ultrasounds. The one at the bottom is the first one we had, and the one that begat their noms de womb. Next is a shot of Pickle looking at the camera, so to speak. Finally, right under this text is a profile of Tomato. These last two were taken on August 22. In other news…

I just returned from a business trip to Phoenix and a fun trip to Pasadena. The business trip was for a booking conference, which is basically a deal where people who represent musicians (like me) meet with people who hire musicians to play concerts. Drinks are drunk, backs are slapped, hearty laughter is heard through the corridors, and deals are made that keep the arts world humming. Not a bad way to spend a few days, but why it had to be Phoenix at the end of August (“…in this week’s forecast, it looks like several days straight of nothing but sun and highs of 106 degrees…”) I really don’t know. Maybe it was just cheaper than San Francisco. I did get to take in a Diamondbacks game at the BOB, which was pretty fun.

After the conference, I whisked over to Pasadena to spend time with Heather, Kim, Sarah, and Zoni. It was good to be back in LA, although it seemed that I brought the weather with me from Phoenix. I also spent a bit of time with Grandma, which was really nice. Of course, Sarah came up with some great names for the twins. Like, Kee-Kee and Koo-Koo. Hey, we haven’t ruled out anything yet. Well, except for Cheech and Chong…

Meanwhile, Amy has been getting the school year off to a start with the LEM (Lutheran Episcopal Ministry), so she’s been really busy. Luckily, after this week, she’ll begin to do more and more of her work at home, from the ease and comfort of her laptop.

That’s about it for now. Once we finish painting our new bathroom, we’ll post some pictures of it. (I know, I know, control yourselves…)

Aren't those babies gorgeous!!!! Post more the next time you have an ultrasound. And you might want to think of names other than Pickle and Tomato at some point. Do you need more help with names?

Pickle & Tomato look absolutely wonderful. Kaitlyn
& Jon are anxious to meet them sometime in the near
future. We are so excited for you both!
