Today for the first time in at least three (heck, maybe four) years I saw a number lower than 180 on the bathroom scale and I was able to put on my kilt for the first time in a few years.
This all started shortly before last Thanksgiving when three things happened:
So I had to get in shape and I had to lose weight. Since a few days before Thanksgiving (when I started keeping track), I’ve lost about 18 pounds and I feel great. I’ve got at least four and a half pounds to get to my goal of 175, but I might just go ahead go all the way down to 170.
Either way, my celebratory purchase upon hitting 175 will be a Utilikilt.
Good for you! I added about 10 pounds while working in Ohio, and have not gotten more than a couple of pounds off. I'll see if I can catch up to you. I would like 170 as well, and I'm at 187.
The first time I saw someone wearing a Utilikilt I didn't realize how useful they could be. I don't have one for myself, though I think they are pretty cool. Which one would you get?
Well, I'm not sure which one I'd get. I'm thinking about the "Mocker" because it looks like it would do the best a the office, with the cleaner lines (no cargo pockets). But I also really like the new "Survival Kilt". A kilt would be excellent for summer backpacking up here.
Hmm ... I might have to get two ...
