I love these pictures. These are from a contact sheet that I found last night looking for something else. I don’t remember if we ever sent out copies of the actual portrait that resulted from this session, but these are much better.
(Yes, today is my birthday. 39, thanks. Just leave it on the stack over there.)
Katie found this picture this morning while going through some old disks. It’s Lola when she was just a few weeks old. We adopted her when she was only four weeks old. She weighed a couple of pounds and could sit in the palm of my hand. Given that we’re about to start a war to maintain peace, I thought a nice puppy picture might be a good thing to look at.
Dad and I are back from Antarctica and I’ve posted my pictures. These are unedited, so don’t be surprised if some of them seem dark or some seem to be there for no real reason. I just wanted to get them up so everyone could see. Over the next week or so, I’ll go in and edit some of my favorites and come up with my personal slide show.
For now, go forth and browse Antarctica. The pictures are arranged by date and location.
I took this last night while Katie and I were walking the dogs. Looking southwest over Cook Inlet, toward Fire Island. (Click on the image for a 480 × 640 pixel version.)
I have many, many things to write about but I decided it would be more fun to set up a more automated way to post groups of photos. So please enjoy the new photo gallery section.
You’ve seen most of these pictures before, but now you can add comments directly to the picture page. There are two new sets of pictures, however. In the Hiking and Camping section there are albums of two short trips that we’ve taken this summer:
We took both of these trips at the invitation of our friends Brian and Theresa Heckart. Brian and Theresa both work for the school district as well. Brian works with me at Information Technology and Theresa is an art teacher.

We got a new cat yesterday. Also included are some recent walking-around photos.
Just some pictures. One item of note: I found out where clouds begin. Apparently it happens right over Anchorage, then they move south.
